Introduction

International Airfare is a complex subject and expects the students to have not only the knowledge of the subject but also skill to quickly and accurately refer the resources to get the correct information needed to compute the fare. It also requires to interpret the rules and compute correct airfare. This course familiarizes the student about different concepts such as type of journeys, fares, codes, rules, connections, stopovers, NUC, mileage systems etc. Then the course takes the students through the rule based process to work out fare for the given itinerary which could be one-way, round trip, circle trip or even round the world journey. Course also takes the students through mixed class and special fares. The taxes, charges, currency rules and various traffic documents etc. are also made familiar to the student. The course is ideal for those who wish to work in traffic department of airline or with the travel agency.
